Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
The presentation describes unusual mineralization extremely enriched in iodides (represented by marshite, miersite and iodargyrite), which has been discovered in the oxidation zone of the Rubtsovskoe base metal VMS deposit (NW Altai, Russia). According to the genetic model proposed, the source of iodine was related to exhalations of «seafloor fumaroles».
