Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
We investigated features of forming compounds with beryl structure (CBS): beryl proper (B), cordierite/indialite (C/I) and beryllian indialite (BI) in solution-melt systems and BI in the melt. Sectoriality, zoning, optical anomaly, twinning (sectorial for cordierite, polysynthetic for cordierite and beryl, type of microwedge lattice for BI), the depressed growth sometimes and different types of aggregates for CBS were demonstrated in individual anatomy of CBS. The idea concerning the modularity of the structure of these dry media developed using the method of appearance of the melt structure allowed: 1) connecting the appearance of associations of metastable phases (mullite, forsterite, compounds with the petalite structure) and equilibrium BI (with relics of metastable phases) with the evolution of the coordination number of Mg and Al, resulting in the reconstruction of the melt structure; 2) considering the face effect as the appearance of three processes: the self-organization of atoms in the medium in “building modules” of two types, ordering of flows of these modules in the medium (in accordance with the preference towards the faces of the prism or pynacoid nucleation), orientation of these blocks and selectivity of their extraction by faces-substrates with different “patterns”.
