Abstract - Summary (short description): | |
The symmetry statistics of mineral species and natural mineral individuals are shown to correlate with those of the convex polyhedra and so-called real crystalline simple forms. The result put forward the question whether mineral polyhedra do nothing but use the possibilities given by the 3D euclidean space with no significant influence from the proper crystalline space.
