(short description):
The results of studying the chemical composition of Ti-Mn-Ca-Si spherules from kimberlites and lamproites of the Yakutsk, Arkhangelsk, Angola-Congolese kimberlite diamondiferous provinces and the Ukrainian Shield are presented. According to the composition of petrogenic elements, silicate spherules are divided into two main types: titanium-manganese-silicate (TMIS) and calcium-silicate (CS). It is found that spheroules are extremely enriched in Ti (up to 48%) and Mn (up to 14%), or Ca (up to 40%), which distinguishes them in composition from meteorite matter, as well as products of vitrification of parent rocks due to impact processes. It is assumed that TMIS and CS spherules are a stable component of explosive rocks associated with endogenous sources, for which there was a stably stable equilibrium coexistence of silicate, enriched Ti, Ca and Mn, and metallic (native iron) phases.
