The paper considers the geology of chamber pegmatites with containing morion and smoky quartz of the Verkhne-Shibanovsky tin-tungsten deposit. The results of thermo- and cryocooling investigations of quartz crystal inclusions are given.
We examined quartz crystallographic features, determined types of inclusions, established the medium character and physical-chemical parameters of quartz formation. These parameters are as follows: the temperature range is from 450oC to 465oC, pressure varies from 355 to 360 Bar, and the solution concentration of NaCl equivalent is 36.7%. Using the method of infra-red spectroscopy in the range from 2000 to 650 cm-1 we revealed the presence of NH3, NO, CH4, H3BO3, HBO2, H2S, and NO2 in the inclusions.
These investigations testify to a post-magmatic genesis of the morion and smoky quartz crystals concerned, which are related to the final stages of crystal-bearing pegmatite formation.
