Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Experimental study on deformation of the diamond using BARS apparatus at a pressure 7.0-7.5 GPa and a temperature 1800-2200 C. As starting diamond samples were used the polished plate (100) and (111) planes of size 4x4x1 5 mm, made of natural and synthetic diamond crystals of Ia type. Established that the main effect of diamond annealing is the appearance and substantially strengthened the bands in the spectra associated with H3 defects in natural diamonds and S2-S3 defects in synthetic diamonds. These centers are shown in yellow-green glow of the samples after annealing. These changes occur most intensively in local regions of the crystal subjected to plastic deformation. Assumed that the increased concentration of nitrogen-vacancy centers within the newly formed deformation boundaries associated with the interaction of A-centers with dislocations and vacancies
