Abstract - Summary (short description): | |
Sherlovaya Mountain is the only source of aquamarine and heliodor of jewelry quality in Russia. This paper (presentation) aimed at projecting reserves and assessing prospects for mining semiprecious raw stock in Sherlovaya Mt is the result of the research of physical and genetic nature of noble beryl varieties from Sherlovaya Mt on a specially selected series of beryl crystals in spectral range starting from light blue to orange colouring. Methods of microprobe analysis, optical, infrared and EPR (electron paramagnetic resonance) spectroscopy, as well as thermobarometry were used in the present paper. |
