Geological, mineralogical and analytical (microprobe, electron mi¬croscopy) data on composition and biogenic structure of gold from the linear weathering crust from Khentey-Chikoy orebearing zone (Central Asia) is studied. The genesis of the gold is supposed as: biogenic – the fist generation gold and hydrobiogeniñ – gold of the late generation. Results of experiments reproducing process of bacteriogenic gold deposit formation along with data on similar biogenic gold in linear weathering crust of various regions are reviewed.
