Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Investigation of sheared garnet lherzolite xenoliths indicates that the xenoliths, besides primary minerals, contain last phases e.g. “melt pockets”, consisting of pyrrotyte, monosulfide solid solution, djerfisherite, perovskite, zoned spinel, apatite, olivine, phlogopite, sodalite, clinopyroxene and calcite, and secondary melt inclusions in primary minerals. Secondary melt inclusions have silicate-carbonate composition with high F, Cl, S, Na2O and K2O contents. It was usually suggested that last phases are product of mantle metasomatism. However, comparative analysis of the last phases in studied xenoliths with minerals from the host kimberlites and melt inclusion in olivine from kimberlites indicates that origin of the last phases are result of infiltration of kimberlitic melt in xenoliths and its interaction with primary minerals.
