Roquesite has been revealed in skarn ore at As-Shakhty and Kittelä deposit.The highest indium concentrations (up to 1%) have been reported from sphalerite of copper-base metal ore associations with signs of greysen alterations (Lyupikko, Hopunvaara, As-Shakhta) and propylization (Kitelä). Sphalerite and chalcopyrite are major indium-concentrating minerals in Pitkäranta ore. High average indium concentrations (~100 g/t) in ore from the Pitkäranta group of deposits and the positive correlation of its concentrations with zinc are responsible for a high metallogenic potential for indium (~2500 t.) in these deposits.
