Abstract - Summary
(short description):

The carbonaceous materials from some hornstones of Hogland formation (Proterozoic) have been defined by optical microscopy and Raman spectroscopy as graphite with crystalline defects. Amorphous carbon has also been found in a few samples. Apparently graphite was formed in the contact metamorphism processes, development of amorphous carbon could be related with metasomatism due to Rapakivi-related vulcanites.
