Natural phosphide minerals are common constituents of meteorites and, to a lesser extent, in lunar rocks. Herein we present the first rich occurrence of iron-nickel phosphides of terrestrial origin. In total, we have identified seven minerals related to the Fe-Ni-P system, of those five are new in nature: negevite, NiP2; zuktamrurite, FeP2; murashkoite, FeP; halamishite, Ni5P4; and transjordanite, Ni2P.
