Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Single crystals of [(UO2)(SeO4)(H2SeO3)][(SeO4)(C3H8N6)] (I) and K2.5(NO3)0.5[(UO2)2(SeO4)3(H2O)]∙4H2O (II) have been prepared by evaporation from 2 ml aqueous solution of uranyl nitrate, melamine and selenic acid. The unit cell parameters were determined by the least squares method. Compound (I) has a monoclinic symmetry, space group P21/m, a=12.001(3) Å, b=13.613(3) Å, c=13.753(3) Å, β=109.187(4)o, V=2122.0(8) Å3. The crystal structure solved by the direct methods from X-ray diffraction data and refined by the least-squares techniques to R1 = 0.029 (wR2 = 0.084) for 4865 reflections with |Fo| ≥ 4σF. Compound (II) has a monoclinic symmetry, space group C2/c, a=20.290(4) Å, b=10.380(2) Å, c=21.436(4) Å, β=103.446(3)o, V=4391.0(13) Å3. The crystal structure solved by the direct methods from X-ray diffraction data and refined by the least-squares techniques to R1 = 0.027 (wR2 = 0.066) for 6405 reflections with |Fo| ≥ 4σF.
