You are cordially invited to participate in the 2^nd International workshop ‘Minerals as Advanced Materials II’ that will be held in Kirovsk, Kola peninsula, Russia. The conference is devoted to a wide range of topics that are on the crossroads between mineralogy, material science, physical chemistry and nanoscience.

Topics to be covered:

• Mineral nanostructures;
• Microporous and mesoporous mineral phases;
• Geo-inspired materials;
• Natural nanotubes;
• Physical properties of minerals: a treasure for future applications;
• Applied biomineralogy and biomineralization;
• New methods for study of structure and properties of minerals;
• Self-assembly and self-organization in minerals at micro- and nanoscale

The conference will be partially held in the ‘Severnaya’ hotel

in Kirovsk. The basic costs per night are as following (incl.

breakfast):

3-room Lux 6600 rub

2-room Lux 5150 rub

1-room Normal 2750 rub

2-person Normal (per person) 1375 rub

Please note that the number of rooms is restricted and will

be provided on the first-come-first serve basis. A list of

other hotels in the area may be available upon request.

Lunch and Dinners will be served in the hotel restaurant. A

preliminary cost estimation is till 40 euro per day.
