The Microanalysis Society (MAS) welcomes the world\'s microanalysis community to the United States in 2014 for IUMAS-6. Join your collegues in Hartford, CT (a couple hours from both New York and Boston), August 2nd to 7th for a program of workshops, plenary talks, invited and contributed talks and a vendor exposition.
IUMAS-6 and Microscopy & Microanalysis 2014
IUMAS-6 is being held in conjuction with Microscopy & Microanalysis, 2014, the annual meeting of the Microscopy Society of America, the Microanalysis Society and the International Metallographic Society. In a typical year, Microscopy & Microanalysis brings together over 2,000 microscopists for over 1,000 invited and contributed talks. In addition, there is a full vendor exposition with hundreds of vendors presenting the latest technologies and products.
In addition to the regular Microscopy & Microanalysis events, IUMAS delegates will enjoy a two-day pre-meeting congress and special social events. The first day delegates will be able to select two half-day workshops from among twelve alternatives. The second day will bring together the delegates for plenary talks focusing on key microanalytical application areas. In addition, there will be a special IUMAS reception and social event.
IUMAS and IUMAS-6
IUMAS-6 is the latest in a series of roughly quadrennial meetings organized by a member society of the International Union of Microbeam Analysis Societies (IUMAS). Members of one of the 8 national / regional IUMAS members societies are automatically members of IUMAS. These societys are the MAS (United States), EMAS (Europe), KSEM (Korea), AMAS (Australia), JSPS (Japan), SBMM (Brazil) and the MSC-SMC (Canada). Previous meetings have been hosted all over the world including South Korea, Italy, Australia and the United States.
