The 2nd International Conference “Crystallogenesis and Mineralogy” was really
an international one with 183 reports presented by 203 participants affiliated
with 64 institutions from 41 cities of 9 countries: Russia (172 participants),
Belarus (1), Germany (15), Spain (1), Canada (5), China (2), Ukraina (6), Saudi
Arabia (1), and Tajikistan (2). The scientific program was intended for
development of crystallogenesis related to problems of mineralogy and divided to
6 sessions as follows (plenary lectures and most session oral reports are
listed).
Papers on the materials of plenary lectures completed the Special Issue of
the journal “Zapiski RMO” (No 7 of 2007) sponsored by St. Petersburg Government
and Geological Faculty of St. Petersburg University.
The Conference was accompanied by the Seminar «Structural Chemistry of
Inorganic Compounds of Lanthanides and Actinides” conducted on 28.9–1.10.07. It
was dedicated to the structure and formation of substances of a high importance
for power engineering and ecology. 50 scientists from Russia, Germany, USA,
France, and Canada attended. The seminar was provided by the leadership of
S.V.Krivovichev (St. Petersburg) and W.Depmeier (Kiel) and sponsored by the
Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
